who we are
Hello!
We are Josephine & Isabelle, the culinary duo that forms tabletop.
We met while both working full-time office jobs and bonded over a shared passion for food and desire to do something more hands-on. We both decided to take the leap, quit our jobs, and follow our hearts into the kitchen. Over the past few years, we’ve worked in various kitchens and eventually ended up working together at Choux, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Amsterdam celebrated for its innovative take on botanical gastronomy.
What started as a small side project, hosting the occasional dinner or pop-up, grew into what tabletop is today: our own culinary creative space where we design menus, create dishes, cater events (big and small), and basically do whatever else we feel inspired to do.
We don’t like to label our cooking, but we draw most of our inspiration from nature and love working with flowers, plants, and everything each season has to offer. That connection to nature plays a big role in the way we create, cook, and host.
