who we are
Hello!
We are Josephine & Isabelle.
Our paths crossed in a co-working space in Amsterdam, where we each rented a desk and couldn’t stop chatting about food during our lunch breaks. At the time, both working 9 to 5 jobs that did not quite do it for us.
Driven by a shared love for food and a desire to work with our hands, we each stepped out of the office and into professional kitchens. After working in various kitchens across Amsterdam, while having the occasional “why did we do this again?” chats, we eventually worked together again at Choux, a Michelin-starred restaurant known for its innovative take on botanical gastronomy.

With tabletop, we created a place where we can cook, host and explore.
We provide tailor made culinary services:
pop-ups, private dinners, curated menu’s, recipes and more.
Our food is naturally playful and always driven by seasonality. Drawing endless inspiration from nature, using all she has to offer; from blossom to root.
The name tabletop reflects on the playful philosophy behind how we like to cook and host. Approaching food as something fun, interactive and engaging; just like a tabletop game.
